Marketing - works in many areas of life, especially when investments pay off. The talent is certainly not deniable by any means. The media shaped the conversation, and Phil delivered.
Well done Phil! Congrats on your victory.

Did anyone hear this on Sunday?
The cameras picked up a discussion between Phil and his caddy on Sunday, forgot the hole, but Phil's ball was basically undergound in the deep rough. I think he had 85yds to clear water between his ball and the hole. Over 200 to the hole.
He was telling his caddy that he wanted to slip a 4 wood down under the ball and pop the ball out towards the green. With this option, he was convinced the water was out of play.
His caddy said, "here's what I think...." and proceeded to tell Phil to take a wedge and just clear the hazard and be in position for the next shot to the green.
Phil says, "Are you not hearing me????" Then he hit the 4-wood onto (and over) the green. Pretty funny stuff.

Good one. They make a good team, but I think Bones quietly but regulary visits with a psychiatrist.

Bobby Schaeffer and I have Masters badges for you!
Any of you G.O.L.F.ERS out there want to join Bobby Schaeffer and me at the Masters in 06? We have rights to several badges for the tournament and the practice rounds.
We've got packages from 1200 to 4000 including hotel or home.
Reply and we'll talk.
Bill
Yoda, we'd especially love to have you along.

Thanks, Bill. I'd love to meet you and Bobby under the magnolias.
And it could happen. But the truth is that my Masters attendance record in recent years has been dismal. Already I've committed my two badges for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to friends of LBG from around the world. Which means I may be out there on Friday!
But April is a long way away.
And, especially with Masters badges in hand...
I've got lots of friends!

Bill, dont forget about me and my party of 20 G.O.L.F.ers coming over from Australia we intend to have a blast. I wonder if the nurses in Georgia are as good as the ones at Laguna Beach that we were with? I suppose after a few margarita's they all look pretty fine dont they!: D

The Peaches in Georgia are just fine, 4Barrels.
But the trip is the deal. We're happy to have you Aussies along.
