Trig,
Unfortunately, I still have dial-up service. I was finally able to download Yoda's latest clip but...
Is there a way for me to save the "Delivery Path and Flying Wedges" video clip to my desktop or somewhere else so that I don't have to go through 8 hours of buffering every time I want to watch it? For some reason, I was able to save a Tomosello clip and Homer's clip to my desktop and avoid the buffering, but not the Delivery Path..." clip.
I noticed that Yoda's clip is listed in my Windows Media library, but the time lapsed was not listed next to it (whereas the Tomasello clip had 9:44 listed and Homer's clip had .04) Also, when I tried to play Yoda's clip from my desktop, I got a Windows message telling me that I had to connect to the internet to view it. That's what I want to avoid, because with that comes the incessant buffering.
Going forward I'm making smaller video files for our dial up users. Unfortunately the tradeoff is the smaller the file, the lesser the quality. When you go to our gallery and select a video, it will ask if you want to open it or save it. Choose save if you want to save it to your computer for viewing later. In reality, all of our videos get saved to your computer, but they usually in a temporary folder that is difficult to access. It's the nature of the Microsoft Media Player application.
Thanks for your reply, Bagger Lance. Until the new system is set up, is there anything that I can do to save the clip to which I referred? I'm not positive, but I think that with the Tomasello and Homer clips I right-clicked on the screen and a menu appeared that enabled me to save those clips directly to my desktop or to "MY Documents." With the "Delivery Path..." clip, no menu appears on the screen when I right-click. Do you know why this would be the case? Thanks again.
