If there is something I miss in the book, it would be footflare.
How does footflare affect the work of knees and further on the hips?
What do you barracudas think?
Bucket!!!!Donde estas??
Ola! Meatball!!!
Footflare IMO . . . more flare = more compatable with Hip Slide and Line Delivery (or Cross Line) . . . less flare = more compatable with Arc of Approach dealies . . .
More flare of the right foot = better for Standard Hip/Knee Action . . . less flare of right foot better for right/double anchor and delayed turn and pre-turn.
George Knudson had an interesting take on the left foots flare. He thought that the follow through position should be very comfortable. If it isnt our bodies will try to avoid it. The degree of comfort is largely determined by ones left leg flexability. Adopt the minimal amount of left foot flare that is very comfortable. You should be able to stand there in comfort and in balance for some time. He did this while admiring his ball landing right beside the pin.
