Only just started working with the concepts of the Golfing Machine and so far very pleased with what i see on film of myself. I have been trying to get width at the top of the backswing with other instructors methods specifically hinging both wrists vertically so they form an L at the half way back position of the backswing.
This never happened in reality and i always ended up getting narrow at the top. Using the corect bend of my right wrist and hinge action of my right arm i now possess a very satisfying top of backswing look. My only problem so far stems from my downswing when attempting to vertical thrust and trace the plane line. Apologies if these aren't the exact terms i am still awaiting my copy of The Golfing Machine to be delivered. The problem is i am obviously doing something not quite right as i have hit a number of shots off the heel of the clubhead with 3 wood/driver and even shanked an number of shots with irons. Any suggestions as to what i am doing or not doing which is causing these mishits.
