new shot
Played a solid round today in windy conditions, and discovered a new favorite shot. The whole back nine played into a stiff wind. On number 11 I usually hit 3 wood, anything over 280 can get into a hazard. But today with the wind I thought I would try driver using an acquired motion swing. What a great shot to have in your bag!! I hit it about 260/265 low with a slight draw. Then hit an acquired motion 9 iron from 135 to 8 ft. for birdie. Went on to finish the nine 2 over par, but I never missed a fairway using the acquired motion swing. I think that may become my goto shot on tight par fours. Boy I love T.G.M.!!!

Acquired motion is also my goto shot, but the next question to ask yourself is, "why is it more reliable and accurate than the full swing?"

If you want to turn it up a notch, use your pivot and accelerate through to a full finish and see what you get. My 2 cents is you won't lose any distance.

And my 2 cents is it was more a full swing to "top" rather than "end" ,or at least a 3/4 swing
