Your most effective method for a FLAT LEFT WRIST
For me I've had the most luck concentrating on maintaining the #3pressure point on short game shots, and feeling the right palm facing downward through impact on full shots (a tip from Johnny Miller in a 1998 Golf Digest article).

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Impact Fix and Flying Wedges alignments.
Understanding them eliminates the need to 'do' things in your downswing to square up the face or to 'try' to keep a flat left wrist.

A lot of practice using Stage 1 and Stage 2 motions.
