Divergence
Of the Face and Path . . . Which one takes precidence?

Mr. K said that the Angle of Approach procedure didn't have to be precise . . . just out to Right Field . . . even 45 degrees . . . can the clubface overcome that severity of path without hitting a screaming HOOK?

Has anyone done any studies of Divergence and what degrees of path combined with degrees of clubface open/closed produce how much hook/slice?

Good topic bucket.

I think the face def. takes presidence. (although of course you can't discount plane)

And 45 degrees seems like a lot to me.

I believe it is possible for the THRUST DIRECTION of the RIGHT FOREARM to be CROSS LINE, while the actual SHAFT remains on the INCLINED PLANE going up the FORWARD portion of the PLANE, after Separation.

What do you think?

IF THE SHAFT GOES UNDER THE PLANE AND OUT(OFF PLANE)... HOOKS MAY OCCUR.

I think a study was done on something similar(non-TGM). The Face, had much more influence on the curve of the ball, than Path.

Pelz claims this for the putting stroke

In Putting the face is 5 times more important than the path.

On a 200 yard shot - 1 degree in to out with the face square to the path - 4 yards right.

Perfect path but clubface 1 degree open - 9 yards right.

An "expert" told me this.

Mis-diagnosis
Sometimes players mis-diagnose this, and really cause problems.

For example... if a player is hitting Clubface Pulls, but is on plane with the Shaft, he may deduce he is OVER-THE-TOP, and start trying to do things to correct his plane. Then he will likely go down a path of being very fouled up... because he attempted to fix the wrong thing.

Yes YES YES!!! Did I just morph into Meg Ryan? I ABSOLUTELY POSTIVELY WITHOUT QUESTION believe this to be the case!!!

Thrust is ALWAYS Crossline . . . and Thrust is present in both methods of accelerating the lever assemblies.

I think that if people understood this and had a set of huevos large enough to trust it . . . the just maybe wouldn't suck.

There are ALOT of lines that enscribed upon the face of the inclined plane that point in a crossline direction . . . but the KEY is . . . THEY ARE ON-PLANE!!!
