I have noticed this too and thought that my own right shoulder tended to dip too low too soon...
I have looked at lots of photos of Hogan and Snead especially and find that their hands are really near the ball ( at release point pitch elbow style approx) when the right shoulder appears to be lower than the left shoulder...
Their shoulders are really quite open though... so it appears that they have more initial rotation of shoulders and then later shoulder lowering ...ie. axis tilts later...nearer impact and not from the "end" position...
I think that it is linked with how much "top arc" you have in your delivery path and possibly plane shift tied in too... but i am just thinking out loud at moment on this topic... still incubating so look forward to some wise words!
