Chipping - push basic
I am watching the secrets of short game by Phip Mickelson, and he used a hinge and hold stroke for for chipping. He also commented that other insturction recommending a hold your wrist or preset your wrist stroke is not corrected.

For the push basic chipping stroke as talken in here with good results, do we preset the wrist (impact fix) or do you hinge the left going back with a much steeper stroke?

In your second para there, did you mean 'hinge' to be 'cock'? Makes a big difference to meanings of the motions look.

Hinge is clubface control on plane. Cock and uncock is clubhead going up and down the plane.

yes, in the video it said hinge, but it refer to cock, since it also talk about left wrist flat at impact.

As you add wrist cock, you move out of a Basic Motion Chip, into a Pitching Motion, which has one more moving part and a little more hand travel and obviously more clubhead travel.

TGM allows for all motions, you just have to decide what you need the ball to do. Adding wrist cock gets you a bit more power which when combined with different Hinge actions, gives you options for ball flight and spin types.
