Fantastic job Steph! I'm so happy you kicked their butts with a pink ball, that is probably even better than finishing birdie-birdie! Hmmm, what will I do if someone beats me with a pink ball . . .

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Thanks much.
I use the Precept Lady S III Tour (Paula Creamer's ball). It is a special edition in pink and is a 3-piece ball with a urethane cover. It is a tour quality ball. Great distance with enough spin to stick on anything but rock hard greens. It has a nice medium trajectory and you can see that pink sucker for miles!

I didn't doubt it was a good ball. You seem to take a very intelligent approach to your golf.

I have to admit I shotgunned this one a little. I was enamored with the idea that the Lady S III Tour could be a pink tour quality ball. I fell prey to the endorsement disease: Paula plays it therefore it must be good for my game! LOL! Ordered some and tried them. I got lucky. They really are good balls and do fit my swing. It is a shame that they don't have them in white anywhere I have seen because I would recommend them to you guys. You could play the Pink, but you must have alot of self confidence to do so.

Thanks. I know what you mean about the bad bounces. I took a triple on the back nine Saturday on a par 3 when I hooked a tee shot, wind caught it and blew it way left of the green, and it hit the cart path never to be seen again. I might have lost it anyway, but the cart path stuff just steams me.

Yes. I am in the A-Flight because of my index. If I play the same tees as the boys, then I qualify to win low gross which determines the club champion. I did, played least worst, and won. Our club doesn't have any low single digits. Our lowest player currenly is around a 4. Most are 5s and 6s with a few 7 - 9 class players. We have maybe 8 or 9 SDs including myself.
steph be proud of that nine(i'm at 8.4) ..at times we are the burr in those 1-4's.. when i was playing in my cc i kept wondering when it was my turn cause you see all this carnage around you...but thats whats fun about seeing how you react to new situations...

Sorry, I did not write some of that well. My women's index is currently a +0.2, but my men's equivalent index is 5.3 (I use a spreadsheet to keep the men's and the SCGA does the women's). I had roughly the 3rd or 4th lowest index of those who played in the tournament. Given my index it was not unreasonable that I could win, but most folks would consider the courses too long for me to have a chance unless they knew how far I can hit the ball. Length off the tee these days allows me to play reasonably well out to 6700 - 6900 yards as long as the slope isn't too crazy.
