It was seven years ago- Oct 25, 1999 that Payne Stewart died in an absolutely bizarre plane crash that ended in South Dakota. Not without warts, Payne Stewart was a true classic and left a void unfilled on the Tour. What a tremendous Ryder Cup Captain he would have been. And it would have been fun watching him of the Senior Tour, just to see him smile. Rest in Peace, Payne. You are missed.
