Robert Baker is a successful teacher with many good ideas and who needs no endorsement from me. However, beware his recent Golf Digest feature article recommendation to increase Clubhead Velocity by Flattening the Right Wrist from Release through Impact. It is one of the Three Major Misconceptions of Execution (3-F-7-E / 7th Edition), and its False Feel Wrist Action (6-D-3) encourages Clubhead Throwaway (6-D-0) with its consequent loss of both Power (Sketch 2-K-#3 / Centrifugal Deceleration) and Accuracy (Clubface Alignment and Rhythm per 2-G and 6-B-3-0).

The Primary Lever in the Golf Stroke is the Left Arm and Club (6-A-2), and its Full Extension (2-P) is a Perpendicular Uncocking Motion (4-B-0) of the Flat Left Wrist (4-A-1), not a Horizontal Flattening Motion (4-A-0) of the Bent Right Wrist (4-A-2).

Remember, it is the entire Right Forearm Flying Wedge that must be taken into Impact, not just the Right Hand or Clubshaft (7-3).
