That and it helps you get the club to bottom out in the right spot . . . and the club to swing on a "consistent" arc in rhythm.

The 8 panel sequence of the guy in the white lid is Baddely. The 2 pic side-be-side with Tiger is Mckenzie.

The neutral spine, or fixed spine is NOT actually what is going on... as you say. Another thread that had input from Mr. Skywalker had quite a bit on information concerning this. The TORSO may appear fairly stationary(steady head, no bobbing, no swaying, etc.), but other things are going on under the torso to keep these things that way.
Again... what about the different Shoulder Turns and Hip Slant relationships and combinations? For example... Rotated Shoulder Turn with Standard Knee Action, and other combinations that can work well together, and some that may be difficult.

Yep.
They change due to ball placments and baseline changes. Which should be set when the computer is ready. So may develop a shift of the spine. Some do not.
The key to playing them is finding yours and stick with it.
