The Substitute
Interesting idea...makes sense. Joe Norwood had some interesting things to say about the nature/role of certain muscles and joints in the swing (although it appears that he taught more of a hitting procedure)

To ME building a golf stroke is rooted in the principle of substitution. Substitute the club face for the flat left wrist that understands full roll, no roll and reverse roll movements, substitute the clubhead with the lag pressure felt in the right index finger, and substitute the right forearm for the sweetspot plane
