That would be Jack Fleck, 1955 U.S. Open Champion, in a playoff with Ben Hogan.

This afternoon in Players Village off the range at the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, I watched the 89-years-young Fleck holding court on his cell phone at the neighboring table.

A living bridge between then and now.

Gotta love it.
