But the main point is not to accelerate the hand speed it seems..? Rythm was in TGM terms, i.e. "synchronised", or maybe more accurate "correctly sequenced", so no specific acceleration of the hand independent of the body for a swinger (but of course the whole body-arm-hands bundle do accelerate from Top to impact). In Swinging, the arms are pulled from the left shoulder (#4 pp) that turn via pivot action, that the natural choregraphy of body parts for a swinger.
