I can't imagine anyone can play good golf on the course with more than one or two swing thoughts.
Me neither... and even then the thoughts you have should not be thought about during the actual motion. Program them and trust your program. This is true of practice too.

Paraphrasing Moe Norman from the golf channel "What can you think of in a second and a half? Just put this dumb guy onto that dumb guy into that dumb guy"....

He's not thinking, hes concentrating....

Sure, dangerous for your opponent when that knowledge is the three imperatives.

The beauty of the golf swing is individual and YOUR knowlege of it. It has taken me many years and many hours of analysis to determine that what I did many years ago that produced good shots WAS correct and I really did not need to change anything, only add a little precision to what I already did.

There are only 3 imperatives, and they are simple to understand. The 3 essentials I live by as well. The rest of it is only a means to achieve these goals. Please do not get frustrated. When you do, you lose! Start small, progress at YOUR pace, and absolutely find an AI in your area that you trust and can help you become A GOLFING MACHINE. We are all here to help.

Jeff,

There is so much more to you than simply being a very accomplished golfer and club fitter, not to mention instructor.

Hall of fame post!!!!!!!!!:salut:

I have had the same issues through the years but instruction from an AI, the yellow book and website instruction have simplified my swing significantly. More important, I know why things happen. Focus on the three imperatives and get away from position golf.
