#4/ Connection

How is the loading of the #4 Accumulator similar and /or dis-similar to CONNECTION... a la Jimmy Ballard. I think Ballard made the term popular, and it has been kicked around by teachers ever since.

Ballards "connection" was the promotion of a pivot controlled hands procedure.

He regarded the arms and club as being the spoke extending from the hub of a wheel and this was unachievable unless connection was maintained throughout - i.e no blasting off the chest for him.

Left arm 'connection' the RIGHT way.

Many in golf think that the WAY to keep the left arm against the chest is to keep the left arm aginst the chest.

Get it?

Well, it a'int the right way, but here is:

Swing the left arm into the chest on the backswing (STT or RFT) and then MOVE the left arm WITH the chest.

It will be snug enough at impact, but will also correctly blast off at the correct time.:)
