Lesson with Yoda

One thing for sure, Lynn Blake never violates the forever laws of
Geometry and Physics. We covered a lot of topics. Some were:
Posture, Grip & snuffbox, takeaway and tracing, fades and draws,
#3 feel, Chipping/pitchshots with Pivot Lag, L-1 is the heart of
the golfswing, Vertical Left hand & drinking water, set up - 7 items,
Sweet Spot Plane, #3 angle "above" the left hand, Rt shoulder
controls the left shoulder, Hula Hula and Pivot lag, see adjusted
address in Book No. 6, below plane backswings, 10-2-B grip,
Hogan Power Secret, dragging a wet mop, The Missing Piece of
Hogans Puzzle, and much more.

What a great session. So much to be learned from Lynn with the
help of the forum and great video such as done with Brian Gay
and John Riegger.

Thank you so much,
Donn Kerby

Thanks, Donn. You are a wonderful guy and a true seeker. I am privileged that our paths have crossed -- and continue to cross!

When I say 'true seeker', you guys have no idea. At our LBG Academy at Falcon's Fire last Spring, teachers and students alike stared in amazement at his irons and saw, in the middle of each clubface, a hole the size of a dime!

This past week, Donn showed me tabbed, 3-ring notebooks detailing his Academy experiences (Orange County National and Falcon's Fire). Also, our private lessons and LBG posts bearing on his current study. I was totally amazed (and humbled).

But this focus is nothing new . . .

Donn's career exploits as a pilot ferrying aircraft during the '70s and '80s to clients in every corner of the globe were recounted in the book Air Vagabonds (Anthony J. Vallone, Smithsonian Books). Here is an excerpt:
Kerby was becoming a guru for all things having to do with ferrying, for there was almost nothing anyone could ask him and not be given an answer. If not right away, then a few days later, when he produced a thick file folder complete with facts, figures, and several magazine articles on the subject. If anyone wanted to know what the winds were like over the Atlantic for any given month, Kerby found it in an old weather folder. If someone wanted to know what restaurant to go to in a particular city, Kerby not only came up with a name but a description of food and ambiance so exotic one might think they were talking to the restaurant critic for National Geographic.
That, my friends -- pilot or golfer -- is Donn Kerby.

Don is as precise with his records as he is with his wedge by the sounds of it-I was at Falcons Fire and have never seen a hole in a wedge before.
Or since:confused1

Kind words

Thank you Lynn and Neil for your remarks. Got some new irons,
but don't see how the worn out irons hurt much? But got to
keep up. 2000 balls a week will wear them out.

All the best, Donn

I hope he brings his notes to the reunion. Maybe we could steal them. Someone ask him what color they are. Find out if he's going to have a roomie and the roomies name. :)

ok, and keep quiet about it.
