Should you do what's natural, or what you score best with???

I'm a natural hitter, right arm dominent. My miss is typically a hook, because I have a tendency to add a horizontal hinge to my hitters motion. Also, I have a tendency to hit very low smoking long irons and fairway woods when I hit. When I swing ball flight is higher and softer. For some reason the left hand and forearm just want to get involved. However, when I attempt swinging, I usually hit a fairly straight shot or a very nice high fade and typically score very well. I don't know if anyone else has ever experienced this problem, and how you resolved it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like if you keep working you aren't far of having both procedures going well. You say you are a natural hitter but make better shots swinging? From that i get the idea you may have only taken up hitting recently? A lot of people have success swinging their woods and hitting their irons too.

I swing just about everything except the short and the mid irons. Most woods, long irons, etc i swing because for me, its a little difficult getting the whole "closed face" correct at address
