Left Wrist Pressure
 

Is the left wrist an actual pressure point? I always thought that PP#2 is the pressure in the last 3 fingers of the left hand caused by the left wrist cock. Not the left wrist cock itself.

I bring this up because the recommended loading procedure for swinging, directly loading the left wrist, has not been at all successful for me. I do better when I don't fixate on the left wrist cock, BOTH wrists are stress free, and I feel pressure in the fingers of the left hand. THe oft given advice on these forums to monitor the pressure in the hands, if taken literally, would personally mean to pay attention to the hands, not the left wrist.

The left wrist is not a pressure point. Like you mentioned, the last three fingers of the left hand are (6-C-1 #2).

Left Wrist Cock is the 2nd Power Accumulator- see 6-B-2-0.

Power is applied to the Pressure Points by Power Accumulators (6-B-0).

What do you mean by "directly loading the left wrist"? Swingers use Drag Loading (10-19-C).

Ideally, your Left Wrist Cock should be initiated by the weight of the club, rather than a conscious manipulation of the hands. Generally, you see younger kids or physically weaker players Cock their wrist earlier because the club feels lighter that way. They employ more of a Full Sweep Loading Action (10-22-A).

Monitor Pressure Point #3. It's the King of all Pressure Points in my opinion. It Traces the Straight Plane Line. It directs Thrust towards Inside Aft Quadrant of Ball or Aiming Point. It's a sensor for Lag Pressure and hence controls distance.

Yes, always pay attention to the Hands as a whole, not just Left Wrist. This ensures your Flying Wedges and other critical alignments are properly assembled. Remember that Hands belong to Zone #3 (9-3). Zone #3 is only as good as your Zone #1 (Pivot/Body) and #2 (Arms).

Mr Blake will often differentiate swinging and hitting by which power accumulators are directly loaded. Hitters directly load PP1 and swingers directly load pp2, and both indirectly load pp3. However, my confusion occurs because he will often interchange left wrist with pp2 in this regard. Others have agreed that directly loading the lag onto the left wrist, and keeping it onplane with a left hand karate chop motion is the way to swing. Doesn't work for me.

Mr. Evans has a couple of drills on his website which demonstrate lag being powered by the body or right shoulder, and warns about using the wrists. I am inferring he meant both wrists.
