4-A-3 ARCHED The Wrist is ARCHED when the Hand is bent forward – or inward – “rounding off” the forearm. A small amount is advisable and very useful (as insurance against 4-A-2 above and as amplification of Clubhead Lag) if its Push Shot tendency is properly compensated.

10-18-0 GENERAL Wrist Action is classified according to changes in Left Wrist Position prior to Impact. The Backstroke Positions are “Turned” and/or “Cocked.” The Downstroke Positions are “Rolled” and/or “Uncocked” (Chapter 4). But never “Bent” or “Arched” except with 10-2-C, 10-2-D or Variation “B” below. So the possible Positions – in both directions – can be – the one – or the other – or both – or neither of the alternatives. Seven Actions are listed below. Comply with 6-B-3-0-1 and 6-C-2-A. All Wrist Action is subject to the requirements of Loading and of Grip Types.

I have noticed that in hitting little chip shots and punches, I have a tendence to Finish with my Left Wrist ARCHED. This seems to be the recipe for low hot shots.

Based on the quotes above, sounds like ARCHED could be as bad as Bent.
The Italian Stallion had a nice pic of the anatomically flat left wrist in his newsletter.

I need a remedy to get UNARCHED and back to FLAT.

i chip with more of an arched wrist at times.....it isn't a problem but you have to move your ball position to vary trajectory. Play it off the left heel like you would a driver to hit it higher.

If you grip it weak....you HAVE TO arch.

Grip it STRONGER in your left hand.

If one strengthens the left hand grip, does the right hand have to match, ala palms facing each other?

Grip it exactly like the strong single action grip photo of Dianne in the book. Pay particular attention to the left hand and thumb. The back of the left hand faces the target with the thumb on the aft side of the shaft. It may seem/feel strange at first but I have found it the key to enabling the Golfers Flail (flat left wrist).

My left hand grip is Turned. Based on the Photo of the LAFW in your newsletter, I think I have been Arched when I thought I was Flat. I was trying to get my knuckles to be in-line or in the plane of the "hairy" side of the forearm.

That would be slightly ARCHED and not flat true?

Yep, and IF you arch, you are far better off playing a fade.

Build that 'wall' down the left side and bank the ball gently off the wall.
