Tiger at the Open

Well I don't think they need to play the last 3 rounds...go ahead and give Tiger the Claret Jug and everyone can get an early start back home. He just finished -6 for the first round....

I read that he is 3 for 3 in major championships when Jack announced his retirement (2000 US Open, 2000 PGA Championship, 2005 Masters so far), and the fact that he romped at St. Andrews the last time there I think that the payouts in Vegas for Tiger will be pretty low (he's no longshot).

Anything can happen in the next 3 rounds, but once Tiger get it started rolling he tends to steamroll through a tournament.

Just MHO...What do you guys think?

On a related note

How about Sean O'hair? He just comes off of his first tour win last week and gets the invite to the Open but doesn't have a passport. Finally gets it on Tuesday and heads on over to play 1 practise round on Wednesday (1st time he has ever played the course).

What is amazing is that he is currently towards the top of the leaderboard at -2 (only played 11 holes, but still...). He must have some talent considering his lack of experience on links courses.

You are joking right?? There is still 3 long days ahead and a lot of golf to be played. Tiger got the best of the condtions today and he was for once in control of his long game and got out of trouble if he found himself in it.
The weather is changable, just look at what happened mid afternoon today.

I was half-joking and half-serious... You are right about the weather though...if it gets bad it could be anyone's tourney.

Tiger gets the afternoon tee time tomorrow. Lets see if he can keep going.

Sean O'Hair

He shot a +1 yesterday but a -5 today to finish at -4 and tied for 15th...pretty impressive.
