Bobby Shaeffer videos

Can anyone tell me which of the Bobby Shaeffer videos most directly deals with TGM concepts? Also, is there a site other than OHP which might have these tapes? I've already looked on e-bay without success. Thanks.

Having appeared in about 10 of Bobby's videos, I can tell you that they are all magnificent!:D They all deal with GM concepts, we did one about the Role of the Hands that was very popular, our short game video, Money Zone, was a huge hit. Advanced Power Secrets was good, but Alpha Zone was fair. And then there's his first video, Ultimate Power Golf Swing, where he was all dressed up like Jones and too fat (Bobby's normally super-fit).
Can't go wrong just watching him swing. And don't forget Magic Loop where he does Trevino's pattern. Awesome!

Bobby's vids my rating

1. Ultimate Power

2. 4 Adv power techniques

3. 4 choices

Here is a plug for Billy

Avalnche of Power is his Best so far.

Pure TGM Yoda should have a winner coming out soon

And the classic must have for the collection is Ben Doyle's How to Build a G.O.L.F. Game.

I am sure I will take some heat on that one but that was shot in one take I beleive and not sure of the year. It was way ahead of its time. Thank You Ben.

Yes, I did notice Bobby looked a bit chubby in that vid!

I got confused when Bobby talked about the 3 Zones in Ultimate Power Golf Swing, as it's different to the TGM concept of the 3 Zones. Nevertheless, it's a great video.

Is Magic Loop a Hitting or Swinging pattern?

Why does Bobby always where purple?

Billy,

Did any of Dr. James Greenwald's findings contradict those of TGM?

JR,

Couldn't agree with you more about Ben's tape. A true classic. It was the first real fog-lifter for me. Watching Ben just roll tape with phones ringing, people hitting range balls, etc is priceless.

Bobby Schaeffer Videos My Experience

I wanted to drop a note about Bobby Schaeffer videos. First, allow me to say, I have Chuck Evans's DVD and HIGHLY recommend it as a great place to start. The same with Ben Doyles video (which he autographed for my son......great, great, great guy and my son loves the note to him on the box......, he also autographed a couple of TGM books for me too.....Super, super guy. Made my son's day and mine). I also love, love, love the stuff here at Yoda's, especially the video segments with him teaching. I am sometimes mesmerized by the impact bag video and come back to look often.

That being said. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bobby Schaeffer videos for their flat out TGM teaching. Between Bobby and Billy McKinney, they both teach right out of Homer's book and lay it out step by step.

I got hooked with the video from OHP about hands and illusions. At that time, I was just beginning TGM and didn't get as much as I could have from the first viewing. I did keep the video, and the bonus videos to look at later.......Glad, Glad, Glad, I did. Later I went back and was floored by the way it was presented and realized this was living, breathing TGM. Terms, illustrations, the whole enchilada, amigo.

Well, I finally broke down and purchased The Ulitmate Power Golf Swing with Bobby. Got it last Friday and it is by far the best explaination of many of the aspects of TGM that I have encountered anywhere. It was about 90 bucks and came with several bonus videos but the Bobby video is about two hours of pure TGM. Once you are familiar with TGM, you watch this video and the concepts are all there, pivot, accumulators, plane, hitting versus swinging.....everthing. He even has his pupil start small (chipping) and work up as recommended by Yoda, Chuck, and of course Homer Kelley.

Before anyone attacks me about being some representative of OHP....Nope, not me. Wish I was because the videos are not cheap but I think well worth it. I have spent a great deal of money on systems and gadgets over the last two years just to put them in the closet. I have found TGM to be effective but you must get the concept in your head and look, look, look until you get it. Bobby's videos are clear, well made, and illustrate many of the concepts we discuss here.

Just my opinion so don't threaten to come to my house and beat me up. If anyone out there knows Bobby Schaefer, tell him Kevin said, great job keep them coming. My only complaint is that most of the stuff is on VHS and not DVD. I suspect I will dub most to DVD for repeat viewing and adding cues to go to specific areas.

The two vids I have seen thus far that I recommend are: The Ulitimate Power Golf Swing and Precision Hands. I also have received as bonus tapes, 4 choices to a more powerful golf swing with Bobby and Drop and Pop with Brad Peterson.

By the way, if you go to the web site, they hype all the videos as the key to becoming a scratch golfer. I think the overhype probably hurts them but it did get me curious after I came across Bobby's name on this forum. Don't believe the hype but the information in the tapes I have is spot on Homer, Chuck and Yoda. I have yet to see any of the other tapes and will probably get some other Bobby S vids as money becomes available (translated, when the wife cools down some).

Good stuff k-nab.

The OHP advertisments were always a turn-off. I could never trust the high sales pitch claims. I wish years ago that I knew it was the TGM - I would have bought some.

Now that we know the material is TGM, the ads are less suspicious. I'd like to get some of Bill's too.

Glad to Help

I am really impressed with the one I just got and a few folks here PM'd me some others that they liked. You are right about the ads, they are overstated to the extreme with things like, drop your handicap to scratch is a week. Yeah, right. The videos I have thus far have been great. Only complaint is that they are on tape but I plan to dub mine to DVD this weekend. If I find any others I'll post. If anyone else finds something good, put it out. Its a small TGM world out there.

Kevin

PS: Here's hoping Yoda gets one out soon. I'll be first on that list too. Can't get enough of this TGM stuff. Maybe I should make that my tagline.
