Video Analysis

This might not go anywhere but here goes.

I would like to propose that Yoda and company adopt a Standard for swing analysis software.

There a number of various packages out there. The costs go from about $80 to well over $5000.

There are several opportunities here and there is a good chance that for those AI's who don't have a system and golfer who don't either we could get a very good packaged deal.

I know someone has mentenioned

- V1
- Cswing

There is also Motion, Swing View Pro and JC Video.

I know personally that either JC Video ro V1 will work with us, especially if we were to adopt it as a standard. Both have user and pro levels.

I have played with the high end systems, ASTAR which seems to be the flavor of choice in some TGM circles. JC will definitely for pennies on the dollar stand even with and V1 will do more than adequate job for 95% of our needs in my opinion.

Most of the software packages offer a trial download test period.

I do have some contact at JC Video and V1 I believe Yoda has an instructor at the MGC who uses it with students and probably can make contact for Yoda.

I agree totally, thats where I hoped this might head.

GM same language so people can get on the same page quickly. So why not having a similar concept with swing analysis software esp if we can work with the developers.

See my thread above on this very topic.

Actually Martee costs start at Zero :)

Lynn has printed my list and taken it to the PGA show.

Lets see if we can kick along.

I proposed a separate section in the forum for this.
