Daly on TGM Playing Lessons
 

I know it is an old show, but this is the first time I sat and listen and watched it.

Actually listening to him and some of his tips and comments were how many would say TGMish...

Practices one arm left pitch shots. His reasoning was that this was good for the full swing, if you can make crisp contact then you are doing stuff right.

This one arm is not just limited to the pitching wedge but also with the putter.

Talked about it is where the clubface is aimed, not your feet in his opinion.

There were some others. If you haven't watch it, not a bad 30 minutes if I have to say so.

I have seen that show a few times and it is good. I actually did begin putting one handed after and it really does help, especially if you have trouble putting go back and try one handed.

I don't recommend the other Daly show now on "Daly Planet" which showcases Daly warts and all. Boring and definitely not what I want my kids to see golfers doing. I mean I'm not a prude, and I am from the South but it is not entertaining at all.

Actaully him on the Helicopter and the concern and wanting it to be on the ground, I could relate BIG TIME with that. In fact I am not sure that if they had put my statements I made in a situation like that, that you would have aired more that about three words. Scared the hell out of me and unlike his landing, we slammed down hard. No one was laughing about it 10 minutes later.

Interesting that John incorporates so much TGM into his game as he doesn't work with a teacher. The Golfing Machine really is a scientific explanation of common sense!

Daley's left hand grip appears very turned or strong. Am I correct in thinking he doesn't need a swivel even though he's a swinger due to this grip?

Funny you say that - I actually thought the opposite. Goes to show how perceptions can be sooo different.

My take. Lead arm swings - never to a straight arm (though he does seem to focus on uncocking the wrists). Strong double action (assuming he continued with the same grip, which he does). Mostly, by his own admission (I think), he relies on feel in itself (versus feel from mechanics).

I'd like to see it again to take your perspective. I havent seen it in a long time....who knows, maybe he's a GSEB. :):):)

Bucket is 10-2-D but should not be mentioned in such high company! The only thing I got in common with 3 out of the 4 is being overweight! I may be short and fat . . . but I'm slow.

I watched the Daly thing tonight . . .
