Confused
This is my first post on this forum. I have no clue about TGM other than these forums.
The idea of angled hinging and the Right Forearm takeaway appeals to me because I feel like I never can rotate my left hand just enough to produce horizontal hinging. I always seem to overdo it and suck the club way to inside and come over the top and when I do that I hit pull hooks However, I have hit nothing but pull hooks using angled hinging either, but my path is better, I feel like I am making great swings, but the results are disastrous. Any help would be appreciated. |
tracing
Welcome,
Tracing a straight baseline is required with any hinge action. When I see someone yanking it inside, it's usually a big pivot with no right forearm pick-up. Hold a flashlight in the #3 pressure point and trace a straight baseline. When holding the flashlight with both hands (golf grip), experiment with performing the three hinge actions while tracing. |
Ensure you have enough Axis Tilt through Impact to hit the inside of the ball.....
....and sustain the lag....cause Bending of the Left Wrist thru Impact closes the clubface. |
Thanks guys, I can't wait to get down there and schedule a lesson. Maybe then I'll figure out if I'm a hitter, swinger, or should just quit:)
