Grips and roll
I'm a swinger who has recently switched from a "strong" 10-2-D grip to a slightly weaker 10-2-B grip. I'm hitting all of my irons straight and high right
Strangely if I set up with the clubface even with a short iron aimed 45 deg right of the target (i'm right handed) I find it easier to square the face and hit the ball straight (as i've got to square the face to hit it half decent). If i aim the face at the target then it's going high right again. Although the compensation is working on the short shots i lose it when moving to a bigger swing. I'm making nice ball then divot contact as well Is this something mechanical or mental? Thanks |

Thanks, just been reading Lynn's posts on the subject If i read it correctly, Hinge action = impact to both arms straight Swivel = from both arms straight to finish Strange that if i open the face more at address it FORCES me to swivel (or execute a more horizontal hinge)... now to work that out!! Bought myself a video camera yesterday so will hopefully put up some video soon! Thanks |

REAL Lag Pressure
Speaking of video...
The video of Hinge Action and Swivel Action is coming. But... How about Lag Pressure? There must be On Line (On Plane) Lag Pressure as you execute your Hinge and Swivel Actions. That would be the Three Imperatives: (1) On Line (2) Lag Pressure with (3) a Hinge Action. Or... Lag Pressure with an On Line Hinge Action. Or... Hinge Action with an On Line Lag Pressure. You get the picture. I will shoot a video tomorrow demonstrating Lag Pressure. And forget about Dragging a Wet Mop. Or even 'Baby Brother'. I'll be Dragging a Pit Bull. Wish me luck! [-o< |

Pluto ate the cameraman.  And like the circus owner whose Human Cannonball came to an untimely end, I'm having a hard time finding another of his caliber. Somebody stop me! :3gears: Soon, jr33, soon! |
