Muscle contraction during pivot
I've been looking up anatomy and stuff like that recently.
A question I have is, does the abdominal and gluteus muscles contract during the pivot? And if so when and where....that kinda thing.... |

The right glute contracts hard if a person has a good backswing pivot. As my physical therapist so eloquently said: "Look at pro golfers, their right cheek is way bigger!" The abdominals must contract if a person is going to maintain their posture. Both glutes contract in a proper downswing pivot. There is a golf anatomy book by a guy named Bazzle that is pretty interesting. Also there was an article in Golf Digest that talked about the prime movers in the golf swing. http://www.golfdigest.com/search/ind...ranatomy2.html Matt |

Next time you want to add some speed to your swing, flex your ab muscles at address and try to keep them flexed in your swing.
See what happens ;) |
Has anyone tried this?
WTH did it do?? (did u hurt yourself...?) |
