For Delaware Golf....
Maybe not the right forum, but we can call it general conversation between us :)
Firstly i believe you may have had first hand experience with Tommy, could you rehash your story of association again if possible. Thanks for the Tommy tape, muchly enjoyed and appreciated. It seems Tommy has picked out the components he liked and built his teaching around them. I totally enjoyed the TGM concepts he went thru and explained and his enthusiasm was infectious. His hip turn startup on the backswing was interesting. Early in the tape he seemed to follow this with an easing down of the right shoulder for the start down (mentioning this would move the hip) then went to a dropping thought for both forearms together later on. Would you call this 10-15-A or C? Also, have you ever tried going thru his list of components as per chapter 12? It would be interesting. He also had a very sweet swing, and hit of course. It was good to see him list extensor action and go into detail too. The quiver image as well. My knowledge of TGM just went deeper thanks to you and Tommy. Between Tommy, Yoda, Brian, Chuck and the many excellent teachers, posters and divine helpers in here how could one go wrong :) Regards John |
From Australia With Love
Dave,
Let's put up some of Tommy's Australia video. And I'm not talkin' just a snippet or two. Drop me a PM, and we'll make it happen! |
Cool Yoda,
You da Man....I think Tommy would be proud...Homer too! I'll contact you about the video. DG Dave |
Yesssssssssssssssssss
Great stuff guys, and i mean GREAT STUFF!!!! There is a certain feel about TGM in the air at present, like it might explode in the next year or two. Yoda has come on the scene like a bolt of lightning, Brian is getting bigger by the day, Chuck is going great guns. Lots of great posters and TGM proponents are spreading the word on other forums and the word is creating a real buzz in some circles. Yoda's swing video gained us mucho interest, and then so many posted superbly positve reviews of his and others workshops and lessons. Yes TGM is very much alive. This is another step forwards putting up some of Tommy's work, another great TGM man who interracted with Homer. His vid has some great stuff too, not the least being extensor action. Go TGM you good thing :)

Had a good read of your post Dave. I love 70's music, and man you got a bit involved here and there. Some great bands mentioned too. I envy you in regards to the Tommy school, i bet it improved your golf out of sight! Tommy comes across as quite a fun character on the tape too. He doesn't get too complex and obviously had great results. It would have been well worth the foray to see him :)

I wonder if Billy McKinney had a bit to do with Tom Dave? Apparently his video called Natural Power describes a swing that focuses on the right arm/shoulder as the main ingredient. I'm also sure he had quite a bit to do with TGM.

Trigolt: Believe it just a dvd, so will still need to be encoded
