Finish Swivel and Driver

Hi there,

If i execute a nice finish swivel on my iron shots i hit them long and straight, if i try the same finish swivel with my driver it's snap hook city.

Is this a 'feel' thing i.e. should i be feeling less of a swivel as the clubs get longer or is it likely to be some other problem? without a finish swivel i'm hitting the woods straight although i get a bit of a left arm chicken wing now and then.

Thanks

The first thing that you want to check is your grip for irons and driver at Impact Fix.

Do they follow the same underlying principles?

The next thing you want to check is your ball position.
You may be setting up for your irons in their straightaway ball flight position and at the same time setting up in a ball position for the driver which 'promotes' a hook.

The last thing that you can check on is whether you are keeping the clubshaft on plane - at least from the downstroke onwards.
You may be onplane for the irons but not the driver.
