These are the "before" videos for 2007 season...

Hitting

Swinging

Any comments to make improvement would be gratefully received.

The video dates from August 2006. I had experimented with hitting and was getting great impact sensation and great trajectory.

Swinging was giving slightly weak and high shots... flip is there i think. have improved a bit since then but weather very cold at moment!!

No tripod... just windy day on the welsh coast! Course is called Aberdovey in north-west wales. Favourite of Bernard Darwin and me! Great links course!:salut:

Looks like you've got a solid feel for the core differences between hit/swing patterns.

A couple quick observations - for your hit stroke, work on getting your left arm flying wedge in a bit better alignment, your hands are too far forward at fix, which likely trends towards hitting some big smothered shots and/or big blocks/push slices. A bit more of a finish swivel should help.

For your swing stroke, I would suggest you use standard knee/hip action rather than right anchor, which will allow you get a much better shoulder turn and help give you more 'time' to square up and get a nice draw.

Thanks EdZ - i think I got a little carried away with "impact address" in hitting and hands too far forward like you say. I will try the standard knee action too ... thanks :salut:

Looks pretty good . . . It looks like you have "overcommited" the right leg in your Swing anyway. It was interesting that in My Space above your swing was Sam Snead . . . . You don't have that whole squat thing going. (I don't either . . . same fault for me). Maybe feel like you are more "flat footed" or like you are putting pressure into the ground with your right heel maybe?

I ain't no teacher . . . but that's what stood out to me anyway.

Thanks Bucket - you are right - i have had that problem for long time. Now is better than 1 year ago - had problems with whole body ( rather than lower body hula hula) moving towards the target! Sway!

Will keep monitoring it!

Thanks
