Anyone else here besides me that stink?

As I have been reading the latest posts here, I started to wonder if I am the only one here who is not either a low-handicapper or professional.

So, since this is the lounge, I figured that I would ask out loud: is there anyone else out there that plays poorly like me (index = 25.7)?

Lou

I don't have an official USGA 'cap but my gametrack handicap is about 15.

Stick around guys, you'll be hitting fully supported, compressed, fully balanced shots in no time with the information discussed here. Start by learning the 'imperatives' and the 'essentials'.

Stay balanced. 'swing' the entire club. Keep your hands ahead of the clubhead and driving downplane to both arms straight. Focus on the right forearm, and the angle in the right wrist. Take a divot.

chip, pitch, punch, full, to the inside corner of the ball

No, you are not the only one.

My index is around 25, and I often play even worse.

I just started playing at the beginning of last summer and was shooting around 120's. A few months later I lowered it to 110's. And the last 9 holes I played before winter set in, I shot 44. So dont feel too out of place. :D

Well this is a good time as any....

no officiial handicap yet but i plan to get one this april. Should be really low.
Started playing seriously about 2 years ago and shot in the mid 80s most of the time.

Worked on my own home-made swing and shot in the 60s on occassion and most of the time hovered around par. Had a real issue with timing.

Went to see brian and it took me about 6 months to really become comfortable with the changes but during the summer if i was as comfortable then as i am now there was one round where i would've definately shot a 64 but just had some swing changing issues.

I'm going out for the pub links and US AM this year as well as trying to qualify for a nationwide and hooters event, both local to me.

Wish me luck !

We're all on the same road, Lou. It's just that some of us have been on it longer than others. So keep on truckin', and soon through your rear view mirror you will see the sign Welcome To Hackersville. On that day, honk the horn, wave out the window and let'em see your tail lights...

You won't be back.

....and if you stick with this forum, you might just leave some burning rubber behind because you are moving so fast (in a deliberate, positive and heavy way).
