Shoulders!!
As I have noticed recently on video, my plane angle is close to the Rotated Plane Angle. I have a separate issue of raising my arms with my shoulders...with both of these, my shoulder angle is pretty sttep on the backswing and downswing.
I would much prefer to get have a 'flatter' shoulder turn...one catch though; I sometimes get too inside on the backswing (been working more on the 'UP"). I want to NOT RAISE THE ARMS, FLATTEN THE SHOULDER TURN, while I trace a straight plane line.....all while letting Centrifugal Force bring my club into impact....any thoughts?? FL-John |
You sound like what i used to do which is once you start your takeaway you DIP your left shoulder down which will raise your right shoulder and create the high right shoulder. This makes it very hard to get it back on plane in the downswing.
Check out www.brianmanzella.com and his backswing article as well as his "flat left wrist" video that is free a few pages back in the debate section. The backswing pivot article discusses and shows a flatter turn and the video shows brian demonstrating it as well. |
