impact physics
With the same trajectory and carry, is the impact between a fade hit by a right-hander and a draw by a left-hander the same?:eyes:

Fades and Draws require different Lines of Compression; see 1-L #20.

Likewise, the Physics of the two patterns produce different results. Draws tend to be slightly lower trajectory and run out further on landing than fades. |

We both know that there is an infinite variety of ways in which to defy the logical in golf - I am still inventing a lot of them.:confused1 :laughing9 So, you say "maybe...." and I qualified my remarks with "tend to be". I think we might have consensus.:) By the way; where you been? I've missed you. |
right-hander's fade v.s. left-hander's draw

I should have put my original question this way: "between a right-hander's fade (left-to-right) and a left-hander's draw (also left-to-right) ". But the answer should remain the same. Thanks again. |

1) I thought you were very clear on your starting post that you were comparing a right handed fade to a left handed draw - both producing the exact same shot i.e. trajectory and distance etc. 2) You've answered the question yourself- given the exact same ball flight- then impact conditions were exactly the same - in relation to the ball. If you look at some other context such as the impact point in relation to the player, or the leading edge in relation to the clubhead path, or what the player would need to do to create that shot- well then those issues are not the same. |
