How much power do you get . . .
by the shoulders rotating?

Is this a rhetorical question?

I guess that it is like in Lukes analogy of the guy jumping off the car. The right arm extension being the guy and the pivot or right shoulder being the car. If the car is moving then his jump is faster. Right shoulder as pivot and power package. Ive recently gone to hitting, so I can now really feel the guy jumping off the car. Those long ball guys sure look their cars are moving too dont they! Dont know whether this is right or not but its where I'm at right now. Trying to get a lot of bent right arm into release via the right shoulder. O.B. |
12 piece,
I'll take a stab at this one. In a shoulder turn only stroke it would be all of your power....an example could be putting. In a two barrel stroke it would be 1/2 of your power accumulators. In a three barrel stroke it would be 1/3 of your power accumulators. In a four barrel stroke it would be 1/4 of your power accumulators. Now a player's pivot may be stronger or provide more energy than other power accumulators, but if more than one power accumulator exist then they must all be considered part of the total motion. Looking forward to hearing others comments. Sorting Through the Instructor's Textbook. B-Ray |
