Simple Observation

If you have a Six Iron and Strike the Ball while the Clubshaft is Vertical to the Ground, with a Level Left Wrist at Impact, then your Clubshaft will be on the Elbow Plane.

If you used the same Six Iron and Strike the Ball while the Clubshaft is leaning Forward 6 degrees or so with the Clubface Square to Target, with a Level Left Wrist at Impact, then your Clubshaft will be on the Turned Shoulder Plane.

MAYBE . . . . You can get the shaft to lean without raising the handle up . . . another thing to observe . . . when you do it the TSP way . . . get you one of them face angle magnet jobies . . . look at where the face vector goes when you do it that way.

I think its significant. With a Flat and Level Left Wrist at Impact, on a Turned Shoulder Plane, the Clubshaft WILL be leaning Forward.

Anytime you see a face on view at impact and the golfer with a flat and level left wrist you can now determine his swing plane. If it's vertical to the ground, elbow plane. Leaning Forward, towards or on the Turned Shoulder Plane.

From a Down the Line View of a Golfer with his clubshaft on the elbow plane and with a level left wrist, now you know that the clubshaft is vertical at impact or else the golfer had an arched left wrist.

It's not a matter of being on board. Hmm? Maybe I didn't give enough information.

Ok, with any Golfclub:

Left Wrist is, Level, Vertical, Flat.

and

Clubshaft is, Vertical to the Ground at Impact (no forward lean)

Then,

The Clubshaft is on the Elbow Plane.

LT's Left Wrist is not Vertical

His club is on the Elbow plane and his wrist is level

His club is on the Elbow plane and his wrist is level, flat and Vertical

Elbow Plane

Have ya got any pictures with a Clubshaft on the Turned Shoulder Plane?

Plane Angles are alignments, not positions.

Hmm? His hands may be level with his knee-caps, but his Elbow is in his right pocket.

If you have a 29" putter, it doesn't mean that you're using the Hands Only Plane.

Lynn, I think that you are correct. I think
that the picture is R.H. (Dick) Sikes. I am amazed
that you knew him. I grew up with R.H. and played
on the U of Arkansas Golf Team with him. R.H. won
several Publink Championships and hold the record
of consective matches won, before going on the Tour.
