Hogan, A Swinger.....Wished He had 3 Right Hands......
This is a question about the role of the right hand for swingers, manipulated swingers to be exact. Hogan was a swinger, BUT, wished he had 3 right hands (thats what HE felt).
What is the role, if any, of the right hand for swingers, particularly as it relates to hinging and swivel? I know the "pure" response would say the left arm controls hinging actions, however, for manipulated swingers (90% of swingers), how do they use there right hand/arm in "squaring the club", or executing the desired hinge action? Thanks. |
This is an interesting quote from Hogan, because it isn't really the 'hand' that he used, but his right side, and his right FOREARM
- a power move (clubhead control - loading action) rather than a hinge action (clubface control) IMO. The more power, the more CF could take over from impact to separation - the more 'support' there was for impact from the right side of the triangle |

Maybe it was just a power move (thrust), maybe it was squaring the head via rotation, but, by his words, it didnt seem to be a passive, supporting role. |
True, I didn't mean to imply that it was passive, just that it was 'power' related and not 'accuracy' related. Personally I can relate to the 'feels' of a right arm thrust AND a left hand roll, even when using CF.
Hit that ball as hard as you can with BOTH hands..... |

When I rely just on my left arm, its almost always a fade. When I "feel" both arms working, I can execute any hinge action better, and with more distance. |
Trevino told ME he pulled as hard as he could with his left hand.

No suprise there, given his grip he sure had to do that.
