The right Elbow "bending" in Item #9 does not relate to the word "bend" in Item #10. In the latter, Homer is referring to the bend in the Clubshaft, i.e., the Clubshaft stressed by Clubhead Lag Pressure Point Pressure, not the bend in the Right Elbow. In his experiments, he was delighted to find that one inch of Shaft Bend added one pound (16 ounces) to Effective Clubhead Mass. Hence, 1/16th inch of bend produced an additional one ounce of Mass. Said he: "Very nice that it worked out that way!" This is the value the "pre-stress" (2-M-1 and 6-C-2-C) introduced at Start Down, usually by the leading Pivoti. Nice pick-up. I never read it that way but I can see maybe someone might have. #9 is so key. It is the foundation of all strokes. The bending of the right elbow controls the left arm and the extensor action on it. Lynn, the image of the right arm shooting into space if the two hands were to come apart, nailed the concept of 6-b-1-d. Even though I 'knew' what extensor action was, I now 'own' it. 6bmike View Public Profile Send a private message to 6bmike Find all posts by 6bmike
