Straighten Up!
Make sure you have a strong sense of the plane line you intend to trace. Afterall you going to be square to something...it may as well be the base of your plane! At times I will use my shaft as a "ruler" of sorts (I notices that Brian Gay does the same) I really try soak in the chosen plane line with my peepers. It is EVERYTHING...all loading...storing...releasing...hinging is done on plane. Another thing that has helped me is to think in terms of setting up perpindicular to the straight plane line, especially with the shoulders. As far as my feet go I am not overly concerned. Foot flare makes it tough to set up perfectly square, and you can trace a straight plane line from an open, or closed stance which of course changes the nature of the pivot not neccessarily the direction of the shot. Moe played a straight line through the course...so should we!
