In my opinion, trying to use momentum transfer with a Hitting procedure (a/k/a 4 Barrel Hitting) may not really be advisable for you, given that momentum transfer requires "quick" and that doesn't match well with your physical issues. You can get plenty of distance with the standard, 3 Barrel Hitting procedure, which uses the the slooow transition and gradual acceleration of the clubhead.
I would also question the usefulness of the Swing Setter for a Hitter. From what I see on the infomercial, the Swing Setter is teaching you to cock and load the wrist. However, this is not what happens in a Hitting procedure. The Hitter cocks and loads the Right Elbow.
This is very interesting. Could you explain the difference in procedure between cocking the wrist versus the right elbow? Are we talking about activelly folding the right elbow versus it folds by another movement? I always thought the folding of the right elbow cocks the wrists. Is the hitter applying more extensor action?
I do agree however that the swing setter was not right for me.

Rwh has given you some very good advice. Additionally, I would stay away from using the Medicus. I've found that you must have a startup swivel when using the device. I break it eveytime, as a hitter. Also, read 3-F-6 (deliberate, positive, and heavy).
The right angle 2 is a device that monitors the bending and straightening of the right elbow. It also can control the amount of bend. Would this be useful in working with hitting? If you had it what would you focus on?
