The thing about hitting is you normally don't want a long backstroke. You should only be taking the club to the Top (as opposed to the End as in swinging).
So when you say "more length" do you mean your stroke? Or how far the ball goes?
Of course, I'd like more of both. But I'm meaning stroke. If I take a regular swing to top, the distance is very good (probably around 260-280). But the accuracy is erratic at best, generally a long, strong push to right out of bounds. But I can hit it pretty straight (about 12/14 fairways) but then it only averages probably 235.
