Still fighting these low hooks
Still having fun trying to tame the driver, one day ok then the next everything low left.

One of my playing partners mentioned something to me yesterday that clicked - coming too far inside on the takeaway, getting 'flat' and coming too much from the inside on the downstroke. Probably a compensation to the over the top move i had been fighting for a while.

Has anyone experienced this i.e. plane ok with the irons but too flat with woods? it seems to be the longer clubs which cause the problem... my irons are basically straight and high with a gentle 3 or 4 foot draw in the long irons. Woods are sweeping hooks

Tried flashlight drills etc although i believe you can still do these drills incorrectly e.g. with a plane that is "too flat" ??

I have had exactly the same problem .Video showed i was too flat with the driver in an attempt to get to the inside aft quadrant.Additionally I found my driver had a closed face .A neutral or slightly open face allows me to try to hit a draw that tends to go straight. With the closed face I was subconciuosly trying to hit the back of the ball..-scared of trying to draw it.

Practice underhand pitches, then with your eyes closed (closed eyes education per 5-0)...and then go out there and replicate that same feel.

Per 1-J, let mechanics produce and feel reproduce that mechanics. Go git em' tiger!
Brilliant! I have been struggling trying to create the right feel or imagery t get my right shoulder moving down plane. I either dropped it to far under or over with varying results. The point of the feel of the underhand pitch was somewhat always lost on me as a leftie golfing RH. But I just took some practice swings in mirror witht hat feel and it seems to work!
Am going to try it out and report back
