Anyway, never discuss the altitude, or wind, fairway bounce, or downhill roll when talking driver distance. Those things simply don't factor into the calculations!

If I ever find (or lose) my way out there again, I will certainly look you up. Ya just never know. Likewise if you find your way to Austin, give me a shout.

By all means let me know if you are cruising this way. There are a few nice places to play as Lynn and Ted found out in October.

I used to drive through Austin every Christmas on my way to the Houston area. This coming Christmas I will be heading to S. Padre Island so Austin is a bit out of the way.

You live in God's country and I am envious (SWTSU nee Texas St. grad so I know of which I speak). Being an ex-pat Texan living in CA is trying indeed. There are many nice things to do and see out here, but the attitudes wear on me after awhile (no offense to the Californians on the forum - just different priorities and perceptions).

First off, nice round.

Second off, you're lucky that we let Texans live here.

Fresno Isn't CA Much

True, but Fresno isn't exactly the CA I was referring to. Once you get off the coast, CA is pronounced with a decided twang and walks with the laid back style only Justin shod feet can provide! Thanks on the round, BTW.

It's all those Texans, Arkies and Okies we let in during the Dust Bowl (pretty much my whole family)

I did my time in "The Basin". Steph has the right idea, stay up high where the air is a little fresher and the balls fly farther.
I do miss Laguna Beach and all those great courses along the coastline. If you ever go down there, hook up with our buddy Dave, Mike O, and the other LGB members for an outing.

I'll have to do that some time. I don't mind the high desert too much for golf except for the incessant wind. I don't mind a 1-club wind from time to time, but when it blows here, we get N-club winds where N is a large, but finite number (woops, math degree kicked in ).
