If you want shock dampening ... I bought these things called Pro-Soft inserts from www.myostrichgolf.com . They may be available elsewhere, but they ran 25 cents per (cheaper if you buy in bulk) and they act just like sensicore without the added weight. You can even put them in graphite shafts if you like. You just pop the grip off and insert them down the butt end (they also sell an installation tool, which makes it easier but isn't an absolute requirement). Everything I ever broke in my hands playing football hurts when I play golf, so shock dampening is wonderful for me. $10 per shaft for Sensicore or $.25 for Pro-softs ... Easy call for me! Good luck.
