hey dave, yes i will be going if my eye surgery goes well.i am having lasik tomorrow.if i can play i will be there.
I had Lasik myself a few months ago and playing golf within a week is no problem except for bunkers. Because sand/dust etc is a no no for freshly lasered eyes so it very easy to quit on Bunker shots.
Oakley M Frame wrap around shades are a good idea as your eyes will be sensitive to light and they will also protect your eyes against dust.
Good luck with the Lasik---a bunch of my patients have had it and loved it. Certainly worked for some golfer named Woods. Since you'll be there I'll try to cancel office hours for a day and come down from Pittsburgh to watch you on Thur or Fri. (ok, and Michelle Wie as well). If not I'll get down for the weekend. My understanding is that Joe Hardy, who is the billionaire owner of 84 Lumber, takes VERY good care of you players. I've played there a few times and it is spectacular. Was in the player's locker room and walked around in awe---no expense was spared. I think it cost more than my house. I'm sure they have transportation set-up to get you from the airport to the course (about 50 miles away), but if you have any problems and need some emergency help just give me a call on my cell 412-719-9351 and I'll do what I can.
