No forgiveness necessary for the Right Honorable Gentleman, Daryl! I get what you are saying. My "some think it optional" is merely an attempt to highlight the importance of a normal tension (artificially manufactured?) force in the swing. Few people (number growing, however) know that you gotta support what you load! Kinda like you gotta feed what you done brung into the world!
You got EA, I got EA...Bucket's got ADD! The Few...the Proud...The Machines!
Gotta go gamma ray some mac and cheese!

That's good. That's a sense of humor.

I agree with your description Daryl.
Some people have extensor action in tons(Ted Fort) -for others, particularly swingers like me ,it is not as severe.
I find it much easier to apply more EA on shorter shots-maybe I just feel it more.
The tough bit for me is "how much",because it can have an affect on wristcock.
The secret IMO is being able to bend the right elbow while trying to straighten that right arm-then not using right arm power on the way down-just keeping the pressure on.

Yes, I completely agree. But I stumbled upon a technique. Please forgive the mis-use of words for the moment: when I push with #3, I slightly tug back with my left hand, and the Club goes up and my right elbow bends with hardly any effort. I can use as much Extensor as I care too for the shot at hand. It's like pulling the grip lengthwise. 9/10 right hand push/ 1/10 left hand pull.
