Ever Faster
Lots of lead tape...or the sensation of a Lagging Clubhead against your #3 Pressure Point (first joint of your right index finger) because of proper ACCELERATION from startdown to, at the very least, follow through. It doesn't have to be much...as Mr. Kelley says, "it is like a fly bending a rail".

IMO, most golfers never sense this because they Over-Accelerate at Start Down and the clubhead moves at a rate they can't maitain. The Clubhead goes very fast, but not for very long and you think your Hands can keep up with it, but they can't. And those that think they don't do it, probably do.

Ben Hogan always felt that he reaced peak velocity three feet past the ball. How many golfers can say that? Have the image of Dragging a heavy wet mop for Swinging or Driving a heavy wet mop for Hitting.

This could be a game changer!
Great post Drewit! It reminds me of the Ted Fort address routine video where he says he tries to accelerate the club after the ball.
I've been losing distance on all clubs lately but mainly the irons. Impact has been towards the heal and I've had the occasional shank which really hammers my mental game.
I've taken this "heavy club/accelerate the club after the ball" thought to the practice net with great results. The compressions are so much better. I will hit the driving range later (fingers crossed). I am hoping it is the answer to my distance loss. I'm getting excited again.

Jackie Burke states in his book that it is like striking a match at the bottom of the swing.
I think that thought fits nicely with the mop concept and the general idea of acceleration of the club.

Thanks for the tip, OB. I'm not very good at lighting matches either. Next time I grab that box of farmer matches I'm going for more shaft lean. I hope I can make the transference to my clubs.
