Nothin' Could Be Fina Than Our Time At Medina!

We thought throwaway was taboo. Yoda explained how the very best players learned to "manage" throwaway for certain shots. ALWAYS POSITIVE. No right or wrong but each players preference.

One interchange I'll never forget. We watched Lynn Stand 6 feet from Tiger watching him hit balls.

Kevin: We saw you watching Tiger, what would you change in his swing Yoda?

Lynn: Are you kidding me? Tiger Woods is the greatest player in the world. I was watchin' and learnin'.

The great ones are humble enough to never stop learning, and always find the positive. What a privilege to be a student of LBG.

Thanks, Kev.

Loved our time at Medinah. You guys were the best . . . before, during, and especially -- after! -- our appointed rounds!

Brian Gay Putting Practice
Another player had put the chalk lines down, but BG spotted'em as we walked onto the putting green and took full advantage.

Bradley Keegan . . .Keegan Bradley . . . Just Get It Right On the Wanamaker!
By coincidence (or fate . . . take your pick!) the first player I referenced on my 27-minute video from the practice areas of the PGA Championship was . . .

Bradley Keegan.

Oops!

As the world now knows, it's . . .

Keegan Bradley.

Oh no! "Say it ain't so, Joe"! http://books.google.com/books/about/...d=LQjYldDrWq4C

Hey, is it my fault the guy's first name is a last name? And, that his last name is a first name? Not to mention that he is a PGA TOUR rookie and this was his first win!

Still sounds like a Wall Street firm to me!

Whatever, we all know it now:

Keegan Bradley, PGA Champion! http://www.pgatour.com/players/03/31/41/

Right you are, O.B.

In appreciation of your astute observation -- -- here's a closer view. This time, with the camera a bit closer and with Luke's stroke to a slightly nearer target.

Those who would learn the 'secret' of this shot should pay particular attention to the Left Wrist Action through and post Impact:

Despite popular misconceptions, the Left Wrist never collapses or Bends. The 'pressure' of the 'inward' Turned left wrist remains 'palm downward' (and clockwise). The right hand, positioned in the Grip Vertical (or even slightly Rolled, i.e., left of Vertical), remains very 'closed', i.e., very left of, the OPENED Clubface.

Cool hand Luke meets Dirty Harry
Thank you Lynn.

At the risk of losing the "astute observation " tag, even faster than normal, Im not sure I follow you.

Are you saying that he is employing Standard Wrist Action (uncock and roll) and an Open Plane Line with the Clubface Rotated , opened to point at the target, solely? As opposed to an Intentional use of Throwaway or say a Single Wrist Action (uncock no roll) cut shot? (Common though they may be from the sand).

So Mr Donald, world no. 1 from the sand, gets it done with Alignment or Machine Adjustments (Plane Line Rotation and Clubface Rotation) rather than employing any hand manipulations? He's still Rolling a Flat Left Wrist even in the sand.

Sorry if Im belabouring the point but "I gots to know". The cows start to stampede when they see me climb into a green side bunker these days. And they're two fences and a gravel road away!!

Tell me what you see the left wrist doing at 0.12 - 0.13.
