Early extension is usually a substitute for (lack of) rotation.
You can probably improve takeaway and back swing towards more, deeper and better rotation of hips, shoulders, hands and club head. But there could also be issues with your posture and setup angles that prevent you from turning through impact.
There is a bunch of Early Extension threads at golfwrx these days. By watching the videos it looks like most of them destroy the sync between hands and pivot already during takeaway. Hands move out and up early on, then excessively to the inside before they are lifted later. The form is totally ruined.
Pivot controlled hands of the worst kind. And also a case of club head inertia throwing the hands off their ideal path.
